How to Buy the Right Touchscreen Monitor

What is the Use Case? 

Ask yourself the following question: What is the primary purpose of this touchscreen monitor and what are its use cases? Too often, touchscreens are left to collect dust due to unclear purposes.

These are just three examples of environments where touchscreen displays can be very useful:

Collaboration Room

This type of space serves two purposes: to create ideas and solve complex problems together. Sessions can last from several hours to full days and are often done standing up by collaborators.

We have seen large touchscreen displays attached to walls in meeting rooms where they were being used for screen sharing as a regular TV screen. This is something you want to avoid.

A rolling stand allows users to place the screen in the most convenient places for their tasks. This allows people to be more flexible and creative. This is crucial for innovation lab teams. It can be used to provide greater flexibility for meeting and presentation rooms as you won’t likely equip every room with a touchscreen display.

It is difficult to imagine situations in which a feature such as a video conferencing would not be useful in today’s connected, global world. The final consideration is whether the display should include video conferencing hardware such as a microphone, webcam, and speakers.

Many touchscreen displays have a microphone and webcam integrated. These options are great for collaborating with smaller teams.

Multi cameras and microphones are required for larger meetings or presentations.
