The aim of this study is to identify trends and challenges in the management of Colombian public and private sports organizations. To this end, a theoretical literature analysis on the subject and a content analysis were prepared with information provided by a panel of recognized experts in the field. The results indicate that some of the key challenges are innovation, information and communications technology integration and organizational change management, the need to strengthen the profile of leadership training, interagency relations and networks.
